Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 6-5-2026
Policy Version: 6-5-2026
1) What we collect
- Account data: signup email, login identifiers, and account status fields.
- Billing data: Stripe customer/subscription identifiers and plan metadata.
- Alert preferences: email destination, Telegram destination, and cadence settings.
- Security/operations data: IP address, user agent, and consent/version records.
2) Why we collect it
- To create and secure accounts, including password reset and email verification workflows.
- To operate paid subscriptions, billing portal access, and account entitlement checks.
- To deliver insider-alert emails and account notices requested by each user.
- To maintain service reliability, investigate abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3) Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or card security codes on InsiderTradeAlerts infrastructure. Stripe may store payment data under Stripe's own privacy and security terms.
4) Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers required to operate the platform (for example, hosting, email delivery, and payment processing).
5) Cookies and tracking technologies
- We use essential cookies to keep account sessions secure and maintain login state.
- Stripe may set cookies during checkout and billing portal sessions to process payments securely.
- We load third-party resources (such as Bootstrap CDN and Google Fonts) that may collect standard request logs.
- We currently do not sell personal information or run third-party ad tracking pixels on account pages.
6) Google Chrome extension
The Insider Trade Alerts Google Chrome extension is an optional browser-alert destination. A user connects it only through the authenticated InsiderTradeAlerts dashboard; the extension does not ask the user to enter an InsiderTradeAlerts password into the extension.
- Pairing and local storage: the extension stores a device credential and device identifier in Chrome extension storage to keep the browser paired with the user's InsiderTradeAlerts account. It also stores received public SEC-alert cards, an unread-alert count, and the user's alert-drawer preferences locally. Alert cards are limited to 500 entries and are pruned after 30 days.
- Browser permissions: dashboard access is used for pairing and secure delivery-ticket requests. If the user clicks the extension toolbar icon, the extension may request optional access to regular websites so the user-enabled alert drawer can remain available across tab navigations. The extension uses page URLs locally only to determine whether a regular browser tab is open; it does not record, store, or transmit raw page URLs, page contents, forms, cookies, or browsing history.
- Delivery and sharing: when the paired browser is active during supported delivery hours, the extension uses HTTPS and WSS connections with InsiderTradeAlerts to authenticate the browser and deliver alert data. Device credentials and identifiers are used only to provide, secure, and operate browser-alert delivery. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending.
- Your choices: removing the extension or clearing its extension data removes locally stored extension data. Replacing or revoking a browser pairing from the InsiderTradeAlerts dashboard prevents the previous browser from receiving new alerts.
7) Retention
- Account and billing metadata are retained while an account is active and as needed for records.
- Operational logs and infrastructure logs are retained according to environment settings.
- Users can request deletion from account settings once any active Stripe subscription is cancelled.
8) Your rights and choices
- Request access, correction, or deletion for account data we control.
- Cancel paid subscriptions at any time from the billing portal.
- Disable alert delivery from account settings where applicable.
9) California privacy notice (CCPA/CPRA)
- We collect identifiers, account records, internet activity logs, and payment metadata needed to run the service.
- We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we control.
- You may submit requests at admin@insidertradealerts.com.
10) Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account information. No system is guaranteed to be perfectly secure, and users should also protect their own credentials and devices.
11) Contact
